Yep, he’s carved in Maple but he’s not from Portugal. He’s was actually born and raised in Kingston Springs, TN.

This is Lester.
Here he is all finished and ready to take on the world… sort of. He’s actually quite bashful and doesn’t like attention. Despite his nose, unlike Pinocchio, Lester never lies. He’s loved throughout the forest but now wants to get out of the weather and just chill.

“Don’t Mind Me”
This guy just minds his own business. That’s one reason everybody likes him. The other is that he’s an excellent whistler. A talent that is falling away and rare these days.

She is carved from an American Beech tree trunk from my yard here in Kingston Springs, TN. The tree was beautiful and a storm took her down. Mother Nature does what she does. So it made sense to me to do a carving that I’ve been thinking about and have wanted to do for a very long time.
